The rain did little to upset my mood today. Our prinicpal declared a holiday thanks to the rugby team for their stellar performance in the rugby championships, they earned this 'grand slam' title for winnning the a, b and c divisions, so he happily gave the whole school a day off. i also find he's getting more humorous with each passing day. anyway, my time was well spent today.
Okay first of all, watched qian bu gou yong today, with a couple of the guys- beaurhys, benjamin and ryan. Omg it was so sad, people were sniffing and crying and wailing throughout. i thought the part where the eldest son abandoned the granny at the old folks home and the brief moment where the granny ate her lunch in the toilet were the most touching. oh man im going to make it a point to grab the cd when its released. its so much better than the previous singapore raintree movie, which was ah yes, the leap years. haha i was laughing like mad when the people threw all the ERP things into the water, like effortlessly, which made it all the more funny.
Then we played a couple of games at the arcade. i managed to please 7 customers on crazy taxi, and got a well-deserved rank C for that. i remember going up to 11 some years back, so hope i can eclipse that record soon. we're supposed to improve as we grow older right. gahh some old saying i heard at a pasarmalam.
oh yah speaking of eclipse, im almost done with twilight. looking forward to the new moon!
in the evening, i went for the scarlet theatre arts drama. i was kinda lost as to what was going on in the opening few mins, but it was very nice and particularly liked, 'acne spots popping all over my face, i could practially swim in all that pus!' haha that was funny sia.
my nyps fren and i were slightly late, about 2-3 mins after the doors were shut, so we got chased to the upper level where it was rather creepy. he and i made for the seats at the far end and made ourselves comfortable. i kept making worried glances at the doors every now and then for some weird reason. i think im going siao.
and as usual, met some familiar faces! more this time. i can safely assume theatre arts is pretty popular among the student pop, saw quite a number of my 6i-classmates there. including oswald. LOL. you know buddy, im truly surprised to have seen you there.
Yupyup. okay someone wants me to sleep now. i gotta go. byebye.

Hm. There seems to be something lurking in my closet. You see, whenever i shut it, it makes this eerie creaking sound 3-4 seconds later, as if something inside wants out. Silly i know for me to be thinking like that. Its most likely my mind playing tricks on me again.
The sore throat im having is like a permanent lump of phlegm and saliva whatever its made of stuck in the middle of my throat. Its kinda annoying, having to clear my throat in class every now and then. ;(
And poor Liu Xiang. Thats 4 years of hard work n perseverance down the drain owww.
Ok uh. bye thats all.

Alright today Mr Mike gave us his handphone number, i think he plans to add more friends on his facebook account or something, he wrote his 8digit-hp number on the board with that classic goofy look on his face, and then he went on to underline the number in 2 long streaks of black. Im quite honoured to have him as the 4th member of my contacts list. (grrr. from now on i shall not test whether phones are waterproof ><)
I havent got anything much to say, except that we had swimming for pe and manh hoang and i were shoo-ins for Group D. About 6 to 7 classes were split into Group A- Group D, with Group D containing the people who swim at an alarmingly slow pace, or those who attempt to dogpaddle their way from one end of the swimming pool to the other, and fail. Including me haha. I told manh hoang, 'you know i seriously think they should give me a membership card for being so loyal to group d.'
Then manh hoang said, 'lets push all the water in the drain so that we don't have to swim!' in that funny vietnamese accent of his. He made it sound quite funny.
Surprisingly, it wasnt as packed as last year, i was wondering where all the so-called 'fakers' have gone to. These people love coming to Group D, its the slackest and least tiring and the most enjoyable as well.
Ok and i just remembered i left my towel in locker no.9. argh its going to stink the entire thing. rightey bye.

Happy birthday singapore! (i think im one day late.)
i had quite an eventful national day. To kick off, i had tuition in the morning, my chi teacher was emphasising the importance of using the dictionary n stating i need more work on my yi lun wen. He was also v pleased with the zuo wen i did and he said that narratives are my 'zui na shou de' LoL. but okay, tuitions and praises aside, after lunch, which was 3 pieces of yummy prata ( yes i gobbled it all up in 5 mins ), my family and i went for a photo shoot.
Man, It was surprisingly enjoyable, i had expected it to be like one of those ordinary snap-snaps here n there. but i gotta admit it was 2 hrs of pure fun and entertainment. First we were treated to a quick uh, touching up by the hairdressers, who applied adhesive glue onto our hair. my hair was so sticky la, my hand almost stuck onto my head once or twice. okay our mum took a much longer time than us, so we asked the kind lady why. She said, 'oh its the makeup. just a sec we're almost done.'
Yah, then we were brought into cool rooms, with lotsa stuff. Props. Like what they have in the movies. Hm so yeah. Snap-snap. You know, since some people say a picture speaks a 1000 words, i'll leave the picts to do the talking. Er. Don't laugh please. (should i post these on fb?)
We had to remove our specs. reflection.

Ahem ahem. So after we left the place, my parents wanted to have their lunch so in we followed to this restaurant which serves a traditional indonesian dish called ayam penyet, means flattened chicken. There were tons of scrumptious crispy bits all over the plate. Then we went to thomson plaza to get a new phone (w960i baby) and a new pair of specs. The optician said the degree of my left eye increased by 25. ;( At around 7, i reached david's house to have dinner and to catch the fireworks! his house was at tiong bahru so we could easily see the fireworks from the balcony. Played a bit of games and watched calefare before leaving. you know, calefare is superbly funny. i love every cast member, esp the awesome indian actor. everything he said brought a big smile on my face. Watched the mummy at tiong bahru plaza- another action-packed and wonderfully humorous show. The cinema was uncommonly packed with lots of people. i assume they too must have been basking in the national day fever. When the movie ended, we headed home. Flicked on the tv and watched man city beat ac milan 1-0 and arsenal score a 4th min opener against sevilla before i fell asleep on the couch. aaand. forgot to brush my teeth. ><

Okay tomorrow's national day's celebration, and and the teachers in charge of this event have so painstakingly arranged and marked out the map of singapore on the astroturf, with a number 43 dead smack in the middle in recognition of Singapore's 43rd year of independence. So of course they were being really protective of their work n all, saying its 'strictly out of bounds'. Hm. Not only does it deprive people like me from running on the beautiful green grass (fake though) and the proud feeling of guarding real-sized goalposts, its also a totally imba eyesore. =]
And we're supposed to be holding hands round this piece of art at 0800 hours tomorrow, while singing the new ndp08 hit 'Shine for Singapore.' I'm going to try to make sure i get a snap of it tomorrow, if teachers like xxx and zzz dont give me that 'get your a*s back there or else' meanie look that is.
At least school ends at a wonderfully great early time tomorrow, so i cant wait to chiong back home n catch up on mah sleep. Today i wasnt so lucky and got caught by mr keith tan. I was playing the good guai kid standing attentively during morn assembly- albeit doing it with my eyes shut, while devotion was being carried out. I was repeatedly telling myself 'rmb where you are dont forget dont fall asleep' abt 100x then suddenly he came along and asked, 'Are you praying or sleeping?'
I told him i was praying but he didn believe haaaa.

I finally decided to reformat the half-dying/ half-dead tablet pc at home. Looks like things turned out well. The days of lag are finally over, but the reformatting erased my account so its quite troublesome having to borrow hemanth's account for the sake of using the net.
Mr mike is going through question 6 of binomial theorem revision now while im furiously typing awayyy.
Okay thats all im still hungry bye.

Limelight at the esplanade baby. Saw lots of old faces from ny, new faces and a couple of band people- weng fong, joel, kaixiang and shengyuan etcetc.
That makes 2 trips in 4 days to the esplanade, which would well have been 3 had i the time to support zhibin and his piano concert on sunday. Sorry buddy, and thanks for taking time off yr hectic schedule and making the exhausting trip to the esplanade, even though a chem test was looming just 12 hrs away. I'll gladly help you in any way i can but its just not possible for me to run/fly to your scl and back- im at least decent enough in chem, results have been poor lately, but its gradually improving! And you were so quiet and shy in winston's car. ^^ next time we meet, we catch the DarkKnight. Set? You must be. =]
Laptop. is. lost. this is sucky. i still cant believe such a thing has happened. whoever you are, i know you wont be reading this, but please do the right thing. or i'll forever be haunted by the fact that i lost the laptop in a school. and it wasnt any ordinary school, it was my school acsi. my mind was all over the place today thanks to you. dont let it happen again? pls give me the chance to bring good news home. regards.

OKay hi everyone pardon me if spelling errors start appearing all over the place cos im going to run through waht has happened in these 2 -3 days really quickly. like, snapsnap. ive got heaps of stuff to clear!
Right so sat was FOA. It was an awesome experience for me and most importantly, the junior band as it was their first tme playin infront of a life auduience, for the majority of them. I made hundreds of unobvious mistakes and blew a couple of out of tune notes but i thouroughly enojoyed myself in the 2nd half. dr lee was being his usual silly self, doing those hilarious hand n body actions when doraemon was being played. then we surprised ronald lai, who was a member of the audience, when we summoned him up on stage to play the rhapsody in blue ckarinet soolo. Coincidentally, he was dressed in a blue shirt then someone from upstairs yelled 'ronald in blue' =]
Then grease was even crazier. i forgot what we did but time flew so fast that i found myself playing the final notes of the piece much quicker than expected. While pple were shouting for a second encore to be played. the clarinets and flutes started playing this funky tune, then alex oon the french horn joined in and we all loked at him. 0.0 how does the guy alwasy know the right notes to play? etcetc.
then the encores chants suddenly turned to predominan 'amos' chants as the whole band cheered on amos to kickstart his solo for teh second encore. he eventually got going but we quickly lost tempo in the 3rd bar. dr lee strode out and shook his heasd repeatedly with a half-smile? on his face b4 conducting blue shades bars 284- 400++
I know the band and I were ery nervous in the 1st half, it was a kinda below par a performance and we could have perhaps done much better had we calmed n relaxed right form the start. after all. its suppsoedly dr lee's ;last concert with our band and we wanted to do our utmost best to give him a good farewell n make him proud n stuff. Judging from the huge grin on his face at the party after the concert, i think, think- it was a job well done.
Not only that, the nband bought him a cake and he deciede to share it with the whole band. nice person he is. and yes before i forget the oter day, a day b4 thre concert he was lecturing us for not having the right heart n attitiude towards band for close to 45 mins, mroeover he cancelled practice. Then he still kept his pro, mise and ordered pizza for the whole band. Gosh we really owe him too much. Each and every one of us.
And with every concert, there will always be the familar faces around! once again i would like to thank dillon, and all the acjc people for supposting. thx jia ying for 'the scores.' Also the ny peeps!- you know who you are. xD
ryan for the hersheys chocos (tyvm ryan CHIA.) =] kq for the great gift xD chongmin for the imba strawberry choco marshmallows ( whos no longer a member of kampong ebuddy!)
Hmm.
Looks like tmls events will be penned down on another day. Right bye.
