Today we headed to scgs to put our efforts to the test, after 2 days of 'hard work and preparation'. It has all been about the lang.arts fest ever since the calendar said, in bright red- '26 May'. Hah aww man no picts again, the mystery of the missing usb cable continues.

We were performing a musical on the play 'Journey's End', and the songs were adapted from High school musical and Hairspray, with courtesy of Michael Kwan and Wen kai. Kudos to them for coming out with the script.
Oh yea allow me to remind myself how stoopid i was on tue. Michael kwan, whos a.k.a. the director/ dancer/ pita (pain in the ass) finally decided to practise some democracy and allowed the rest of us to help out in the singing parts. I'm not sure about the rest, but i desperately wanted someone, anyone to take over his parts as believe me, the sun will drop out of the sky when he starts going into that middle-of-nowhere cranky phlemgy tone of his. Seeing nobody had volunteered, i took the section with the Super Duper Mega Ultra High Octave Note of 'Without Love', from Hairspray of course.
Yes as you can see, i have something against mr. director over there. I wonder what. Wait till u see his dance moves. Funny funny funny.
Bose bought us swiss alps chocolates. So nice, she flew all the way to switzerland and back last night when she could have simply bought Kit-Kat bars from Esso or Shell. I had a small bite off rajat's choco. It has a somewhat powerful energy dose inside that makes u feel very very high. Which was good, in a way, it gave me more confidence when i had to play on the bassoon. Played 'You are the music in me' and 'Without Love'. But i choked somewhere near the end, so yeah. Good and bad. One of the scgs girls called it a, i quote her, "trumpet-thing" =]
There were lots of props, from a wine bottle to toy guns to metal pots and costumes, most of us wearing the ncc land green. Wen kai spilled the wine all over the floor. When i bent down and took a sniff at the transparent mess, i smelled apple juice instead. Cool. xD
I had trouble pitching my Super Duper Mega Ultra High Octave Note , i was really anxious in front of the 40-odd pairs of eyes, but i was pretty contented with myself at the end of the day. Not easy, i can tell you that.
I think we did pretty well in fact. Considering we managed to piece it together in 2 days and we (except michael and wen kai though) spent most of those 2 days slacking and lying around and listening to 50 cents' Candy Shop hit. Good job everyone .=]
Before each of our 2 performances, the scgs drama society staged their play and caused many laughs from the 40-0dd primary school kids. I remember ryan, beaurhys and I having a good laugh at their actions of 'one-stop-family fitness'. Come, allow me to guide you:
Firstly, stand like how you would normally stand during morning assembly, don't forget to relax your shoulders and smile, and not like how our president does so for goodness sake tyvm.
One- Stick out your left hand, clench all other fingers except the one between your thumb and middle finger. Point the finger into the air. Right hand by your side. Good. Next.
Stop- U know how to do that. Come on. Use your right hand. Parallel to ground.
Family- Start with arms crossed at chest area, raise them and bend them back, each hand forming an imaginary half-circle over your head. U got that? I'm sure u did. Proceed. You're almost there.
Fitness- Watched superman yet? Make this macho man pose, flexing your biceps and triceps and what not.
So there u go! Its really simple yes? Ahem.
And so i conclude. Haha long post, but not my longest by far. Byee.
