One glance at the calendar on my phone made me recall that today, of all days, was the Dr lee suan yew speaker of the year award 2008. I never knew that our dear mr lee kuan yew had a brother- until now. It was quite ridiculous. This event happens only once a year and there was no sign of lee suan yew or any of his branded possessions- no limo, no army of soldiers, no chauffeurs, in scl today. Instead, Mr Hossan Leong was the guest-of-honour and we welcomed him with open arms, err judging from the deafening applause at the sight of his skinny-broomlike figure entering the auditorium with a manical look on his face.
He's a funny man luh, with the knack of cracking jokes and weird-looking gestures that was, trust me, the most entertaining part of today. He sings like a monkey on drugs though.
Hmm let me see let me see. If i were to write something worth mentioning, that would be the drama after the amazingly unbelievably boring lee suan yew thing. 2 men- one incredibly thin and the other incredibly uh... big, showed that they were not short on manpower n that 2 people could make a drama worth noting in our diaries. It made my day seem so much brighter.
I still cant believe hossan leong actually came to my scl today. What an honour loll.
This year, its him.
Last year it was Adrian Pang, that host of Deal or no Deal on ch5.
I wonder who will it be next year?
Kumar? I believe we all know very well who he/she is.
