Hello everyone out there!
Yay i had a really gd time at the xmas concert. It was held at the grandiest of the grandiest of venues (in singapore). ESPLANADE! Durian. call it watever u want. it really looks like a spiky joke la. Come on. People want to admire the surroundings and then some s2pid genius comes here and builds these fragrant fruits in the middle of nowhere in somewhere HAHAHA. Props to u my fren.
8:15. Ringring. I woke up and realised that I had section breakfast in the morning at clementi macs. Crap. LATE again as usual. So when i reached there i expected my frens to be there expecting me. But 2 of them were later than me! Yay. Then i bought 1 hashbrown for my breakfast! That's the only thing i like at mac's during breakfast time. Lol i wasnt that hungry. Bize, my acjc senior, kept wanting me to eat more, eat some of his pancakes but I politely refused. xD
After that, we rushed over to the esplanade from scl for practice! So cool. We had our own room which 7 of us not-so-happily crammed into. There wasnt even enough space to wrestle! But its not too bad. The toilets were so posh.
Band 2 (the band i'm in) would be rehearsing one lastlast time ahead of band 1, when band 1 was supposed to play 1st. erm excuse me? thats really dumb la whoever planned this. (Must be that teacher.^^) Okay so we hit the stage. Played played played and then our conductor dr lee let us go. Yeaa thats all! Unless u want me to talk abt the boring details.
We had abt half an hour to 45 mins for a break. So i rounded up a few of my frens and suggested that we go over to marina square. But in the end i only managed to get 2. Oh wells. They didn wait for me. Hmph. I kept insisting that i knew where the arcade was. but really i was as lost as louis n kaixiang. then when we finally wandered to the food court, kaixiang couldnt tahan anymore n went to ask for directions. hahahaha. and even with the directions he still looked vry blur. So i saved the day (as usual)x) by leading them to the arcade, where kaixiang played some drumming game. Louis got shot down by some robbers. Tough luck tough guy.
Oh. Justin du lucky u. I did not see what u did that attracted SO MUCH attention. Which also made everyone laugh like siao. And the best part was that u didn even know that u were attracting that much attention. Hahaha otherwise u will really get hantam by me. Ooo is that how u spell that.
I was dressed in an all-black outfit, except for a really cool pink coloured tie. Someone said it looked gross! ^^.Haha.
Then band 1 was on stage. Tuning and stuff. Louis, cassandra, liling and i walked around the corridors n took the lift a couple of times. We took picts! Then we met amos and weng fong in the green room, which is actually nothing like a green room. We took more picts! Easy. I'll post them later yea. I'm a tired guy.
Omg my shoes were like a size too big for me and i flopped around like a duck. I tried my best not to make it seem too obvious. I noticed my shoelaces were undone but i didn do anything abt it. Ooo then the moment to take the stage! Dr lee wished us the best of luck and we carefully walked towards the stage. Ahhhhh!! Then as i raised my right foot to walk up one platform my shoe dropped out!! Omgomg. Jiaying laughed and i felt so paiseh. Haha i think the audience didn see though. I quickly grabbed my shoe n ran over to the far side of the stage and slotted my foot back in. Hehe.
I had to play:
Star trek, what a wonderful world, les miserables.
Then when we were abt to play the 1st of our xmas songs, band 1 showed up on the stands behind us with all their xmas hats on! They were supposed to sing songs. We followed suit and we popped on our hats of gold and hats of red. My phone annoyed me during one of the songs. xl
I forgot the order liao. i think it was xmas festival, xmas medley, jingle bells, sleigh ride and finally xmas pop sing a long.
Oh one of our conductors, mr wong emerged after a short intro by the emcee. When i saw him, the 1st thing i did was stand up. Cos we had to stand in respect mah. It was only after a while that i realised i was the only person standing! I looked around desperately for someone to stand up. Haha thankfully pple started standing up.Lol.
Haha i really enjoyed jingle bells. We had to stand when we played our respective melodies. woohoooooo!!! That's what i loove most. Bar35 came and i swayed to the music and played my part with ease. We only sat down like 16 bars later. wheeee.
Mr tan came on stage and grabbed some guy's reindeer headwear. Then when he finished conducting he just ran away with the reindeer thingy still on his head. HaHaHa.
Our final song, xmas pop sing a long was great. This cute little kid from acsj that came on stage looked really lost la. And the audience laughed whenever he said a word . Haha he was really adorable. And cutee. And adorable. xD. We played the song while lead singers (including the little boyboy) plus band 1 stood in front of the stage n sang those popular xmas carols.
I loved the applause too. Wicked!
